Subjects: 30 patients with paranoid schizophrenia frequently hospitalized to the Ryazan Psychiatric Hospital (inclusion criterion: at least two hospitalizations during recent two years). The patients' family members followed a psychoeducation program based on the "Module of group psychoeducation for family members of schizophrenic patients with frequent hospitalizations". The paper presents the analysis of a two-year follow-up of the patients whose relatives have completed the psychoeducation program, specifically, concerning the frequency and duration of hospitalizations during two years before the program and two years after it. The average number of hospitalizations has dropped more than twofold and the mean stay in the hospital more than threefold.
